Founded in 2018, Thames Tax & Bookkeeping Solutions has deep roots that extend back to 2003. The journey began with Contessa Thames, our CEO and founder, who initiated her career at the largest tax preparation company in the United States, H&R Block. Her passion for tax preparation ignited instantly, leading her to immerse herself in the intricacies of the tax industry for two formative years.

Building on her foundational experience, Contessa took the helm of a local tax office at Fas Tax in Pearl from 2005 to 2012. During this pivotal time, she fostered extraordinary growth while honing her skills in superior customer service, meticulous attention to detail, and comprehensive knowledge of tax law. Her commitment to excellence set a standard that remains at the core of our operations today.

From 2012 to 2013, Contessa further expanded her expertise by managing a tax office for a franchisee of Liberty Tax Service, the second largest tax preparation company in the U.S. This experience was instrumental in preparing her for her next venture; alongside a business partner, she became a franchisee herself, owning and operating four Liberty Tax Service locations from 2013 to 2018. 

Today, Contessa is proud to lead Thames Tax & Bookkeeping Solutions, where we serve our clients from our Jackson location. Our team is composed of dedicated professionals who share a collective commitment to exceeding customer expectations through continued education and a positive work environment. With nearly two decades of experience, we have cultivated thousands of relationships with clients who are not just our customers, but friends.
